Arkalumen Inc. incorporated

2008 – May

1st tunable white installation using Arkalumen LED controllers at convention center in London, Ontario.

2010 – May

Launch of the B-105 controller, the first DC/DC programmable constant current driver. 1st installation at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

2011 – August

Granted first patent, directed to power management in a multi-channel LED system.

2012 – July

Launched LUMEN+ line of high lumen, energy efficient LED modules. Installations include factories, warehouses, farms, and mines.

2014 – September

Launched APT and BOLD brands, demonstrated beta versions of world leading multi-channel control systems at LightFair International.

2015 – May

Granted 10th patent, directed to converting constant voltage input to constant current output.

2015 – June

Launched the APT-CC LED controller which allows a single output constant current driver to be converted to a tunable white system.

2017 – March

Launched the APT-CV5 LED controller which enables precise control over 5 independent constant current channels using DMX.

2017 – March

Launched APT-DW (dim-to-warm) controller, installed in award winning fixture at LightFair International.

2017 – April

Granted 25th patent, a core patent to the APT-CC controller.

2018 – June

Granted 5th fundamental patent directed to designs for tunable white LED modules.

2019 – April

Launched 5-channel, 1200W, IP65 APT-HX5 for horticultural market at HortiCan.

2019 – October

Granted 30th patent, directed to powering LED modules via pass throughs in other LED modules.

2020 – February

Partnered with Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) to develop a UV-C sanitization cabinet during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to a potential shortage of N95 masks.

2020 – March

Launched GEN2 APT controllers, adding DMX/RDM & BLE control protocols, new compact designs, and intuitive APT Programmer 2.2.
